1) No smoking in the building or within 30 feet of the doors.
2) Clean up after your dog both in the building and in the community.
3) Handlers preferably should be at least 16. Handlers under 16 must have a parent or guardian in the building for the class.
4) All children younger than 16 must be supervised in the training center.
5) The K9 Learning Center reserves the right to dismiss anyone who is abusive or cruel to their dog, or who is rude, abusive, or causes a disruption for other participants. No refunds will be given.
6) In case of weather related issues, the K9 Learning Center will follow posted school closings for Watervliet Public Schools. A makeup class will be offered.
7) All participants are expected to practice between classes. Homework assignments will be given each week. While it is understood that life gets in the way, your dog will not progress or learn if you do not practice.
8) No refunds will be given after the second class of the session and refunds will not exceed $60. Refunds must be requested within 6 months of the first day of class.
9) No attack trained dogs allowed. Dogs with some aggressive tendencies may be allowed depending on handler control. Private lessons may be arranged by appointment.
The K9 Learning Center, its owner, and/or instructors are not responsible for the loss of property or injuries to persons or dogs or for property damage while on the premises of the K9 Learning Center. It is understood that in dealing with live animals inherent risks are involved. Participants in classes or unstructured training (drop in training) or other activities at the K9 Learning Center assume full responsibility for their actions and of their dogs. Parents or guardians are responsible for their minor children. By signing below, I am attesting that my dog(s) is/are current on the veterinarian recommended vaccinations for dogs in Michigan. A K9 Learning Center Policy/Disclaimer Acknowledgement Form must be signed and submitted and placed on file prior to attending a training class schedule at our facility.
