Forms are available at the K9 Learning Center or the registration form may be filled out and submitted online or downloaded and printed out along with the Policy Acknowledgment and turned in at the K9 Learning Center.

Puppy
For dogs six months old or younger at the start of class. This class will focus on basic training, health and wellness, puppy social skills and introductory behavioral concepts. May be combined with Beginners.
Beginner
For dogs six months old or older at the start of class. This class will focus on basic training, health and wellness, socialization, behavioral concepts, and manners. May be combined with Puppy class.
Canine Good Citizen (CGC & CGC-A)
Must have completed puppy or beginner class (or equivalent). This class will focus on more complex heeling, additional skills, advanced behavioral concepts, recalls, coping with distractions and real life situations. A CGC(AKC Canine Good Citizen) test will be offered on the last day of class. CGC-A test will be offered intermittently as some items must be tested in a natural environment. The CGC class may be repeated as desired to reinforce behaviors.
Advanced Companion
Must have completed a puppy or beginner class (or equivalent). This class will concentrate on reliable recalls and stays, and work towards off leash heeling. The class is designed for those who what a higher level of training and control but do not wish to pursue the competition path. This class may be repeated to reinforce desired behaviors.
Competition Prep
Must have completed Advanced Companion or CGC (or equivalent) class. This class will work on competition exercises, footwork, ring procedures, and proofing necessary to compete in AKC/UKC obedience trails. This class may be repeated to reinforce desired behaviors.
Rally
Must have completed Advanced Beginner (or equivalent) class. This class will introduce Rally stations, and provide opportunities to experience Rally courses. Depending on experience of participants, the class may also introduce rules and expectations of Rally competition. Multiple courses will be utilized.
Open/Utility
This is a self-paced class for advanced competition training. Participants must have earned a CD title on at least one dog in the past. These sessions will concentrate on the required performance elements for competition. The class meets for 1 ½ hours on Monday evenings. Participants may come on a week to week basis. The cost is $5 per session and participants are expected to help each other as “stewards” and help set up exercises.
Agility Primer
Introduction to basic agility obstacles including tunnels, A-frame, and jumps. It is a fast paced, active class for both handlers and dogs. Off leash control is mandatory.
Tricks Class
Must have complete a puppy or beginner class (or equivalent). Prepares dog/handler to participate in the AKC Tricks program. There are four levels and the K9 Learning Center offers testing for the first three levels. The fourth level requires a demo tape that is sent to the AKC.
Drop in Practice
These sessions offer opportunities for dog and handler teams to practice for competitions or to advance their training. Participants may work on any level or venue or just practice basic skills. Drop in practice works on a pay as you go basis and is $5 per person per hour. Please call for available times.
Conformation
These sessions will cover instruction for handlers and practice for dogs preparing to go into conformation classes. Breed specific stacking and gaiting will be covered
