Nan Edwards
Nan Edwards is the owner and founder of the K9 Learning Center.  She has been
involved with dog training since her first Newfoundland joined her family in 1982.
Prior to her involvement in dogs, she had a great deal of experience teaching,
training and showing horses at various levels.  Many years ago, a routine and
seemingly ordinary obedience class lead to another class and then to another
discipline.  Before she knew it, she was bitten with the show bug.  Nam has earned,
to date, 18 AKC working titles covering multiple obedience levels, all three rally
levels, and tracking.  She has also completed 10 CGC certifications and multiple
Canadian titles.  Nan has also earned 16 Newfoundland Club of America (NCA)
working titles which cover both water rescue work, and draft/carting work.  Multiple
breed ring championships are also part of her canine families' accomplishments.

Nan has worked as a judge for numerous all breed matches covering Pre-Novice,
Novice, Gad-Novice, Open and Utility levels.  In addition she is a NCA provisional
judge for draft tests, organizes an annual education day for the Great Lakes
Newfoundland Club and is the Education Chair for that club.

Nan has provided foster care for several Newfoundlands and has adopted or
"re-homed" a number of other dogs.  Her primary breed is the Newfoundland, a very
large working dog, but she also has a Petite Basset Griffon Vendeen, (a medium
sized French hound breed), for at least 15 years.

Currently she shares her home with VN Ch Nautica's Cross of Rowenberry CD, CGC,
DDI, RN, RA, WD & WRDI (call name Rowan), Rocky Harbour's Phoenix Rising of Amity
CGC (call name Phoenix) and Jaren's Right About Now CGC, CD (call name Tucker).
Rowan and Phoenix are Newfoundlands and Tucker is a PBGV.  In addition, Nan lives
with her very patient and tolerant husband, David, and they have raised three
daughters in the Watervliet community.
